Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait BenHaddou Kasbah - Rose Valley- Dades Valley:

Welcome to experience a memorable 3-day tour Marrakech to Fes desert tour! After breakfast at your accommodation in Marrakech, you’ll journey from the city of Marrakech on a scenic drive through the Atlas Mountains. These beautiful landscapes are home to the Berber people. Along the way, you’ll have several stops to enjoy the nature of High Atlas and see villages and farms in the Oasis. Enjoy sweeping sceneries of seemingly endless winding peaks and rivers as you traverse Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest mountain pass in the country at an elevation of 2,260 meters.

You’ll head to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, about 20 minutes west of Ouarzazate city in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains.

The Kasbah is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and located on the ancient camel caravan trade route connecting the Sahara Desert and Marrakech. It’s a stunning example of Berber earthen clay architecture in the southeastern part of Morocco. You continue on towards the Ouarzazate city (pronounced in Berber language like “war-za-zat”), the climate becomes noticeably sahara desert-like. Picturesque Ouarzazate city was once a major centre of caravan trade, but today, the city is better known as the exotic backdrop seen in many of our favourite TV shows and films. From there, you’ll head to the Valley of Roses and Dades Valley, known for its lush green oases and old kasbahs. Spend your night in a cozy accommodation nestled in the tranquil Dades valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Erg Chebbi Desert:

This morning after breakfast, you’ll head to the Todra Gorge. On the zig-zagging drive to the gorge, gaze out at the lush date palm groves and beautiful rock formations. When you arrive, walk along the bottom of the 300-meter ravine by a crystal clear stream, with the amazing rocks towering above. In the afternoon after lunch, make your way to the Sahara desert through the oasis towns of Tinjdad and Erfoud. Keep an eye out for dromedary (camels) and their shepherds on the way, a traditional berber nomadic lifestyle that still exists today in the desert regions.

Continuing your adventure on to the deep amber sands of Erg Chebbi Desert, the highest sand dunes in the north part of Africa, some over 150 meters high! take camel ride traversing the dunes before a magnificent sunset over the sahara. Then travel for the imperial city of Fes alongside the Ziz Valley with its unique Gorge. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Midelt city before continuing your adventure towards Fes through spectacular landscapes of meddle Atlas Mountains. My wife and I had a wonderful experience on the 3 Days desert tours from Marrakech. From our tour driver, Moha picking us up to dropping us off at the end of the trip in Marrakech, everything was perfect. The riad we stayed in Dades Valley were great, albeit not located very well for my wife that has problem walking any long distance or up stairs to the terrace. (My fault for not informing the travel agency ahead of time). Everyone we met in the tour was so welcoming and happy to show off their country. Since it was just the two of us on the trip, Moha was flexible in making some changes to the schedule to meet our requests and needs. Riding the camels in the Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert was just one of the highlights of the this 3 day tour from Marrakech, a not to be missed experience.
